Everything you need to know before you start.
The CBA is how most Canadian engineering regulators (PEO, APEGA, EGBC, APEGS, EGM, APEGNB, Engineers PEI, PEGNL, and Engineers Nova Scotia) now evaluate P.Eng. applicants. Instead of listing job titles and years worked, you describe specific engineering situations where you personally applied each required competency, using the Situation-Action-Outcome (SAO) framework.
If you like writing and just need the right structure, the DIY Toolkit is enough. If you already have a draft and want it checked before you submit, choose Expert Draft Review. If you want hands-on help developing your examples, choose Guided Coaching. If you'd rather have it written for you end-to-end, choose Full-Service Writing. Not sure? Start the intake form and we'll recommend one.
DIY Toolkit is instant access. Expert Draft Review typically takes 5–7 business days. Guided Coaching runs over 2–4 weeks depending on session availability. Full-Service Writing typically takes 3–5 weeks from your intake interview to a submission-ready draft, depending on how many competencies your association requires.
No one can ethically guarantee a regulator's decision — the final assessment is always made by your association's assessors. What we do guarantee is that your submission will be properly structured, competency-aligned, and reviewed by a licensed P.Eng. before you submit.
